Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee stole the show on his debut, scoring an impressive winner against Fulham.
Noussair Mazraoui was also making his debut, and the right-back blew fans away with his composed and intelligent performance.
A more low-key debut awaited Matthijs de Ligt, and a successful one all the same, with the Dutch international helping the team see out a clean sheet.
De Ligt came on in the 81st minute as part of a double defensive change, with Manchester United beating Fulham 1-0.

Matthijs de Ligt debut
Matthijs de Ligt can be pleased with his brief role in Manchester United’s win, in front of a packed Old Trafford.
It was a great way to start the Premier League season for United, and a memorable way for De Ligt and co to begin their careers at the club.
The Netherlands international sent a message to supporters, expressing his excitement at making his first appearance for his new club.
De Ligt wrote on Instagram: “Very happy to get my debut and the win. Let’s keep going!”
Daley Blind shows support
Former Manchester United defender and Dutchman Daley Blind reached out to De Ligt via Instagram, posting two ‘fire emojis’ underneath his message.
Blind also shares something else in common with De Ligt. They are among eight players to represent both Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

De Ligt was always unlikely to start the game as he had been unable to have a proper pre-season with Bayern Munich, due to being part of the Dutch squad at Euro 2024.
So it was useful for the centre-back to get some match action and start building up his fitness.
Big calls lie ahead for manager Erik ten Hag, who will have to decide whether to bring him in to face Brighton next weekend, or Liverpool the week after.
