Casemiro was back on the scoresheet for Manchester United against Brentford, making it five in 13 under Michael Carrick.

The farewell tour for Casemiro continued on Monday night, and he bagged another goal as Manchester United defeated Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick saw his team play Brentford off the park for much of the game, well deserving the win, with Casemiro the star of the show.

After a ridiculously good performance that had the Old Trafford crowd purring, Casemiro also earned compliments from his teammate Matheus Cunha.

Matheus Cunha hails Casemiro performance vs Brentford

In the win, United were without Cunha through injury, but he was sat in the Stretford End to take the game in.

Then, reacting to the game on his Instagram story, Cunha shared a couple of messages, one being, “Bravo, guys! We love all that!”

He then also had another writing, “1 more year…. Casemiro”, a message that the entire Old Trafford crowd would be behind.

Casemiro also reacted on Instagram, writing, “Incredible atmosphere at Old Trafford. We’re very close to reach our goal!!! Come on Reds!!!”

Under this post, Casemiro’s wife said, “How beautiful it is to see people singing your name, my love. Thank you, Reds”, which is about the swelling support for the Brazilian.

Manchester United fans want Casemiro to stay

Being in Old Trafford for the game, it was incredible to see the support for Casemiro once again, as his performances continue to justify a new deal.

Casemiro announced his exit from United months ago, but fans still haven’t come to terms with it.

Old Trafford burst out into countless renditions of the “One more year Casemiro” chant throughout the game, urging him to stay.

The support at the end of the game even appeared to bring the tough Brazilian captain to tears as he now has just two games at Old Trafford remaining.

With his current teammates also pushing him to sign a new deal, is there a chance? Probably not, but that won’t stop the Stretford End from trying to convince him.
