The former Three Lions international took to Instagram and Mount dropped a powerful message to United fans after the 4-1 result against Athletic Club.
Speaking on social media, Mount wrote: “Moments like these are worth the wait. Back to Bilbao, Reds!”

What did Ruben Amorim say about Mason Mount’s display in Man Utd’s 4-1 win vs Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-finals?
Speaking after Thursday’s 4-1 result for United, Amorim hailed the type of “quality” that Mount has at his disposal after his brace against Athletic Club at Old Trafford.
“It’s important for every player [to return],” he told TNT Sports, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“But when you see that kind of guy working hard every day, eating well, resting, ice bath. He does everything.
“When you have this kind of player, you just want to help them.”
Amorim added: “The quality that he has, like you said, it’s perfect for that position.
“He can be a midfielder, he can run like a winger, he can play with his back to the goal. I’m really happy for him.”
United will now face Premier League side Tottenham in the 2025 Europa League final at Athletic Club’s San Mames Stadium on 21st May in Bilbao.
