Mason Mount’s message to Red Devils supporters caught the eye of Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United’s thrilling encounter with 10-man Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals.
The Red Devils were on the verge of being knocked out of the Europa League before Ruben Amorim’s men staged a superb comeback in the second-leg tie on Thursday.
Manchester United led Lyon 2-0 at Old Trafford by half-time before the Ligue 1 outfit climbed back into the contest in the second half and forced the match to extra-time.
Lyon were reduced to 10 men against United in regular playing time, but the French side took the lead in the first half of extra time before going 4-2 up in the contest.
Ruben Amorim’s side were forced to rally back in the second half of extra time and Harry Maguire found the all-important winner in injury time for the Red Devils.
United knocked Lyon out of the Europa League and the Red Devils punched their ticket to the semi-finals after their spine-tingling 5-4 comeback win on the night.

Mason Mount came off the bench in the second half against Lyon after Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim withdrew Manuel Ugarte in the 87th minute.
The 26-year-old former Chelsea ace has been securing important first-team minutes after his return from injury and Mount has made sporadic cameos for his side.
Mount produced a solid cameo against 10-man Lyon at Old Trafford and the United star took to social media after the match to send out a heartfelt message.
“Never gonna stop,” he posted on Instagram.
Bruno Fernandes saw out the full 120 minutes of United’s 5-4 win over Lyon and the Portugal star converted a penalty in the second half of extra time on Thursday.
The 30-year-old United captain was in the comments of Mount’s Instagram post and Fernandes didn’t waste the opportunity to send his club teammate a message.
“Classssssss [sic],” Fernandes wrote, adding a fire emoji.

Amorim admitted that he sent his Red Devils players back onto the pitch at Old Trafford with what they needed to do against Lyon after United were 4-2 down.
“At half-time in extra-time, we had to change the positions, to try to be really clear about the position of Harry Maguire,” he said after the match, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Try to put Casemiro near the goal, Kobbie Mainoo near the goal, Mason Mount to cross balls and try to explain that we need to score one goal and anything can change, so it is pushing on with the team.
“Of course, it is a difficult moment and then we have to be really lucky to change the game and this was the case today.”
United will now face Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium on 1st May for the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals ahead of the return leg on 8th May.
