Eric Bailly and Anthony Martial are out of Manchester United’s squad to face AC Milan.
Bailly was a surprise absentee after starting the first leg at Old Trafford.
Martial went off injured in that match and missed Sunday’s 1-0 win over West Ham as well.
United have confirmed the travelling party which will go to Milan looking for an away goal to ensure progression.
Solskjaer was asked about the pair at his pre-match press conference, which was streamed on United’s official app at 1pm.

“Martial is a definite no-go. Eric’s being assessed and with Shola (Shoretire) will be playing for the Under-23s – we felt that would be best.”
Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek have been out injured for a number of weeks but are included in the travelling squad.
Solskjaer said that doesn’t mean that they’re definitely going to be fit to play – he was keen to point out that they’d be assessed between now and kick off.
But it’s clear that both Bailly and Martial are not even a possibility to play on a crucial night for United.

Bailly’s absence means that Victor Lindelof will expect to start alongside Harry Maguire.
That’s intriguing because it raises the prospect of a clash with his fellow Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be fit to play some part at San Siro.
Lindelof has been carefully managed throughout the season because of a back injury and that will also be on Solskjaer’s mind.
Martial’s absence is a blow on a night when United need to score, but it is softened by the fact that Edinson Cavani was pictured in training yesterday and is in the travelling party.
