When Anthony Martial plays, he usually scores. That’s been half the story of his season for Manchester United.
The other half is that he just hasn’t played enough, due to injuries.
Right now he is fully fit, so let’s enjoy it while it lasts. He may have a little added motivation too.
Martial was fit enough for the World Cup for France, they just hadn’t seen enough from him beforehand to feel comfortable taking the gamble.

Marcus Thuram reacts
France fell narrowly short in the World Cup final against Argentina. Who knows, Martial could have made a difference and buried Kolo Muani’s chance if he had been there and it fell his way.
One player who was on the pitch late was Marcus Thuram, who set up Kylian Mbappe’s second goal in the final.
Thuram has been linked with a move to Manchester United by German outlet SportBild
Last night Thuram showed his admiration for Martial, responding to his post-match Instagram post with a diamond emoji.

Thuram has scored 13 goals this season for Borussia Moenchengladbach and has just six months left on his contract at the club.
SportBild claimed ‘Gladach could be forced to sell Thuram for as little as £9.6 million due to his expiring contract.
This could make him an ideal budget option for United, whose spending power in January is unclear.
But Erik ten Hag has made very certain that he wants a forward, so landing Thuram would tick the boxes in terms of quality and price.
His apparent friendship with Martial could see him settle quickly too – even if they end up competing for a position.
