Rashford named man of the match

Rashford’s return to form is very welcome, and many fans feared it would not happen at all, let alone so early into the season.

He was the overwhelming man of the match winner in United’s official fan poll.

Seven other players received votes of five per cent or less.

Christian Eriksen was named as Sky Sports’ man of the match by Gary Neville. The Dane provided the assist for Rashford’s second goal.

Rashford has played a key role in recent wins, assisting the winner against Leicester and scoring the winner versus Liverpool.

He was even praised as ‘fantastic’ by Roy Keane, and while Eriksen was deserving of plaudits, it’s hard to argue with Rashford. His player rating on FotMob was 9.2/10.
