England star Marcus Rashford singled out six Manchester United legends after he was asked to build the ultimate five-a-side team for an away match.
Marcus Rashford has been part of Manchester United’s pre-season tour after missing out on Euro 2024 in Germany this summer.
The 26-year-old United star failed to secure his place in the England squad for this summer’s Euros after a disappointing 2023-24 season at Old Trafford.
Rashford started for United in the 1-0 pre-season defeat to Norwegian side Rosenborg this month before missing the 2-0 win over Scottish side Rangers.
The England international was included in Erik ten Hag’s United squad for the second leg of the pre-season tour in the United States.
And Rashford made his return to the starting XI in the 2-1 defeat to Premier League side Arsenal on Sunday at the SoFi Stadium in California.

Rashford talks six Man Utd legends
Speaking to Instagram user ChuBoi, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was asked to build his star-studded five-a-side team for an away match.
Rashford chose former United teammate David de Gea, who has been a free agent since 2023, as his shot-stopper before making his five outfield picks.
The Three Lions star opted for a defensive partnership of United legends Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic in front of David de Gea.
Rashford picked former United midfielder Paul Scholes before selecting Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney for his attacking line.
Despite Rashford picking six players for a five-a-side team, YouTuber ChuBoi claimed that the shot-stopper was a ‘plus one’ option for the team.
“I’ll take David de Gea,” Rashford said.
“Centre-back [for an] away game… we’re gonna have two centre-halves. I would take Rio Ferdinand and Vidic. I’ll take them two.
“So, Paul Scholes and Cristiano and Wayne up front.”
Man Utd boss Ten Hag on Rashford
Erik ten Hag threw his full support behind Rashford last season, with the United star only scoring eight times in 43 appearances across all competitions.
The 54-year-old United manager insisted that Rashford is more than capable of rediscovering his form ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
“Rashford can only improve himself, he is capable, he scores so many goals and at a relatively young age, so many goals, so he is capable of it,” Ten Hag told the media on United’s tour in the USA, as per BBC Sport.
“I am confident and have 100 per cent belief he can do the same as two years ago.”
