Marcel Sabitzer’s agent comments on his start at Manchester United

Marcel Sabitzer has made a strong start at Manchester United so far since joining on transfer deadline day from Bayern Munich.

The Austria international has made three Premier League starts since joining, and will be eligible to face Barcelona tonight after serving a suspension for the first leg.

From what he has shown so far, Sabitzer’s displays have suggested he might be a very sensible signing on a permanent basis if the opportunity is there in the summer.

Sabitzer’s agent has spoken out to say he is happy with how the midfielder is getting on at Old Trafford.

Sabitzer agent comments

Sabitzer’s agent Roger Wittman told Sport1 he is not surprised by how swiftly the midfielder has settled in.

He says he was always confident in Sabitzer’s qualities and believes he is well suited to the Premier League.

Wittman said: “Marcel is a top player. It doesn’t surprise me at all that he’s performing so well so quickly. If you have as much experience as Marcel, whether in the Champions League or with his more than 60 international matches, it doesn’t take long to find your way around a club and a league like this.

“He loves this English hardness! It was clear from the start that the Premier League was a great fit for him. He’s an aggressive player. He does exactly what he can there. And that’s what’s needed there.”

“At Manchester United we see Marcel from Leipzig again. I’m very happy for him.”

Sabitzer is in contention to start against Barcelona tonight, or and in the Carabao Cup final this weekend. He is yet to get to play alongside Casemiro, after a suspension for the Brazilian.

Striking up a partnership with Casemiro could be key to landing a permanent move.

Sport1 report Bayern are open-minded towards a summer sale, although Wittman is hedging his bets and keeping his options open.

Asked about a potential permanent move to Manchester United, he responded: “We’ll see when the time comes.”
