Manchester United have submitted a £51m bid for Ajax forward Antony, according to GOAL.
However, the Amsterdam giants and the reigning Eredivisie champions value the 22-year-old at closer to £70m.
Erik ten Hag is keen to reunite with the forward that he signed from Brazilian side Sau Paulo two years ago.

But with Manchester United submitting a bid way below Antony’s reported valuation it’s highly likely that the initial bid will be rejected.
Having already lost Noussair Mazraoui, Ryan Gravenberch and Sebastian Haller this summer, Ajax may be reluctant to lose another of their prized assets, especially with interest in fellow United target Lisandro Martinez intensifying.
Manchester United submit £51m bid for Antony

With Cristiano Ronaldo remaining a no-show at Carrington after delivering the bombshell that he wanted Manchester United to consider offers from Champions League clubs, the additional firepower of Antony would help bolster Ten Hag’s forward line.
But the 52-year-old was interested in bringing the six-time Brazil international to Old Trafford this summer regardless of Ronaldo’s future.
With Mason Greenwood still not being considered for selection and Juan Mata leaving on a free transfer, United’s forward line is lacking a talented left footer who could cut inside off the right touchline and contribute a wealth of goals and assists.

Antony, who has a contract with Ajax until 2025, has 22 goals and 20 assists from 79 matches for the Dutch giants.
The talented South American is averaging a goalscoring involvement in every other game and its those appealing statistics, and Ten Hag’s knowledge of the youngster that makes him such an appealing prospect for the new United boss.
After Tyrell Malacia became Manchester United’s first signing of the Ten Hag era, a dream transfer window would see Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Frenkie de Jong and Antony follow the former Feyenoord man through the doors at Carrington.
