Facundo Pellistri played 20 minutes from the bench in Manchester United’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg victory against Nottingham Forest.
The Uruguayan played a role in United’s third goal, and his directness caused problems for the Forest defence.
It was another display which suggested Pellistri deserves more game time than he is currently getting.
His Manchester United teammates were impressed, lauding his performance in response to the winger’s Instagram post.

Facundo Pellistri performance v Forest
Pellistri needed only 10 touches of the ball to make an impression, creating one chance with an excellent cross in Wout Weghorst’s direction.
While he was booked for giving away a foul, Pellistri was lively, and showed he continues to be worthy of an extra look.
It’s no wonder clubs are queuing up to take him on loan, The Athletic report, if he is made available by United.
Pellistri’s teammates hailed his performance, with Bruno Fernandes writing, ‘Once again very good’, while Argentine rival Lisandro Martinez wrote ‘Uruguay is great’ in response to his performance.
It is nice to see United’s players supporting the 21-year-old, and it is clear to see they have a respect for the World Cup star.

A decision will be taken on Pellistri’s future in the coming days. This performance is likely to intensify loan interest in his services, but it could also sway Erik ten Hag into keeping him.
Anthony Elanga got fewer minutes, just five, but also had a noteworthy moment himself, providing an assist to Bruno Fernandes, after Pellistri’s run into the box had created space, and a scramble in the Forest defence.
