Manchester United duo have been called up to England U17s squad.

There is no shortage of young talent at Manchester United, with the U18s squad continuing to impress and more academy players pushing for a place in Ruben Amorim’s first team.

It will take time for everything to come together but Ineos are at least trying to bring the best young players to Old Trafford as seen with Leny Yoro and Chido Obi last summer.

In January, United added two more young players to the squad, including Patrick Dorgu from Lecce and Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

This shows that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos team can persuade the best young players to join United. It supports the club’s long tradition of putting faith in young players.

Manchester United duo called up to England U17s

Manchester United academy stars Godwill Kukonki and Jayden Ngwashi have received call-ups for the England U17s.

It bodes well for the pair that England U17s are managed by former United academy coach Neil Ryan.

United will trust Ryan to take good care of their players while on international duty.

England U17s have a double header with the Netherlands next week and we hope Kukonki and Ngwashi get the chance to impress Ryan and his coaching staff.

FA react to Kulonki approach from Congo

It didn’t take England long to react to Congo’s proposal to make Kukonki an international player.

The youngster, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, has been the subject of interest from Congo after a proposal was made to Kukonki on his international future.

Kukonki had yet to be called up to an England youth squad, but the FA has been quick to change that.

By giving minutes to Kukonki with the England U17s, the young centre-back will get a taste of action on the international stage. That said, he will have to work incredibly hard to make the senior team, which is currently managed by Thomas Tuchel.

It’s a bonus for the academy that more young players are getting called up to experience football on the international stage.

Every young player dreams of representing their country at the highest level.
