One Manchester United star needs to bulk up if he has any chance of succeeding at the club.
That man? Facundo Pellistri. The Uruguayan winger has been given a few chances under Erik ten Hag this season, following complications surrounding the right-wing slot for various reasons.
The 21-year-old has looked bright and definitely offers something different on the wing – however, it’s becoming quite apparent that he is a little too lightweight.
Particularly during the Carabao Cup fixture versus Palace, he was outmuscled on numerous occasions.

Pellistri needs to put on some muscle
Speaking on The Talk of the Devils’ most recent podcast, Andy Mitten, Carl Anka and Laurie Whitwell had a discussion about the right-winger following the cup win.
Whitwell was reading out some statements on Pellistri, including one which specifically homed in on his strength.
“He’s got great potential, but he does seem easily bullied off the ball at times,” he begins.
“He had a chance against Palace where he could have been stronger, which was similar to the one at Bayern Munich.
“Maybe a tub of creatine and a membership at a local gym is needed for the Christmas break is needed.”
It’s probably true
Pellistri shows glimpses of a really talented player, but it is a worry whether the Premier League‘s boisterous nature is currently too much for him.
He just isn’t quite there yet in our opinion. If you are a player without much stature, your other qualities need to shine through and do the talking, which just hasn’t shown as of yet.
He is a talented player, no doubt, but he needs to work on himself if he wants to be considered a regular starter at Manchester United.
With Amad Diallo set to return to the frame soon, Pellistri’s time is numbered to secure that spot. If there’s a time for him to seize it, it has to be now.
That being said, he needs to put the work in if he wants the reward.
