Despite the loss against Copenhagen, Manchester United did have some good moments.

Rasmus Hojlund was back among the goals. The Danish forward added two to his Manchester United tally on the night, with them yet again coming in the Champions League.

United can also take comfort in the fact that a red card was definitely the game-changer. Erik ten Hag‘s men were cruising up until this point. Nothing really went their way.

One bright spark for United had to be the full-return of one man, who definitely gave Ten Hag and the United side a boost.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka vs Copenhagen

Despite the loss, one player that cant really be faulted is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The English full-back showed what United have been missing on that right-hand side last night. A full-back with the competency to actually defend.

Wan-Bissaka was really good considering his lack of game time. Thanks to his long-term injury, this was actually only the eighth match the 25-year-old has featured in for the Red Devils this season.

The only mistake of note had to be that hospital pass back to Andre Onana, which actually resulted in the corner kick that led to Copenhagen’s third goal.

Nevertheless, a bit of rustiness is bound to be expected.

Praise for Wan-Bissaka despite defeat

Media outlets also seem to agree that Wan-Bissaka was certainly one of the better players in red.

Made a run down the right and cut the ball back for McTominay to set up the first goal in front of the 36,099 crowd. United are far better with the right back in the side and he combined well with Rashford.

Played a terrific reverse pass for the opening goal and his partnership with Marcus Rashford was promising until the red card.

Did brilliantly to feed McTominay in the build-up to the opening goal and offered plenty down the right. His recovery pace is a massive asset to United – but his hazardous back-pass to Onana prior to Copenhagen’s third goal showed some naivety.

Quality from Wan-Bissaka. He’s going to be crucial for Manchester United heading forward this season.
