Manchester United are already plotting out summer spending plans – despite a lack of clarity over the takeover.
The Times reports: “By the end of the month, United expect summer transfer plans to be finalised.”
United are getting organised
One of the big problems with transfer windows in the past has been Manchester United coming in under-prepared.
Even last summer, United took too long to get signings in, with only one player, Tyrell Malacia, joining in time for the club’s pre-season tour.
This won’t happen on Erik ten Hag‘s watch, with the manager leading a cultural revolution at the club, on and off the pitch.
United’s preparation for the summer ahead could be crucial to build on what looks like a promising first season for the manager.

Kane calls intensify
United are expected to pursue a striker in the transfer window, having settled for a loan deal in January.
One player on the radar is Harry Kane, who is repeatedly being discussed as a possible solution for United, who are six points ahead of Tottenham at present.
Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports: “If they want to be serious contenders they’re going to have to go and buy an outstanding number nine to take him to another level.
“Harry Kane has been mentioned this week, if you want to win titles, that’s the sort of signing you have to be in the mix for.”
The Mail report Tottenham would look for £85 million for Kane, who has just one year left on his contract.
Takeover uncertainty
The big unknown is the uncertainty at Old Trafford over a planned takeover. The club is up for sale, with the process expected to move ahead next month.
What we don’t know is who will end up taking over, and what the budget might be. It’s great United have a plan for the summer, but it can’t be enacted unless the Glazers sell up and the current spending freeze ends.
