Manchester United have officially released their new home kit for the forthcoming 2022/23 season under Erik ten Hag.

It is the second one to feature TeamViewer as the main sponsor, after they replaced Chevrolet before the start of the last campaign.

United do have a new sleeve sponsor, with DXC Technology taking over from Kohler. The kit had originally been scheduled for release on July 1, but was delayed a week, possibly in connection to the Cristiano Ronaldo uncertainty, which had not broken in the news a weak ago.

Ronaldo features in United’s new kit, despite The Telegraph reporting he will not travel on the club’s pre-season tour.

Anybody should now be sufficiently forewarned that buying a Cristiano Ronaldo shirt is a huge risk, amid uncertainty whether he will play for the club next season.

United are currently insistent he will stay, with Ronaldo’s absence from training so far attributed to ‘family reasons’.

One player we’re still also waiting to see in the new shirt is Frenkie de Jong. The negotiations to sign the Dutchman have dragged on throughout ten Hag’s first summer in the hotseat, with progress only recently having been made.

Tyrell Malacia is the only confirmed signing so far, with midfielder Christian Eriksen expected to join him.

Lisandro Martinez, who was of course managed by ten Hag at Ajax, may also make the move from the Netherlands to United and supporters will hope to see him in the new strip next term also.
