Manchester United loanee Shola Shoretire has been backed for success as his first loan spell comes to a close.
There is no doubt that Amad has been Manchester United’s big loan home run this season, with the attacking midfielder scoring 13 goals on loan at Sunderland.
It is also worth remembering that this is Amad’s second loan spell of his career, after a mixed loan at Rangers at the end of last season.
Shola Shoretire‘s stint on loan at Bolton has followed a similar pattern. A bright start, followed by a spell on the sidelines, and a strong finish.

Shola Shoretire backed by Bolton boss
Shola Shoretire scored his first ever professional goal at the weekend as Bolton won 3-2 against Bristol Rovers.
His manager Ian Evatt has praised the young attacker, speaking to Bolton’s YouTube channel.
He said: “He’s a young player with an immense amount of talent.
“He is a young player so there’s always dips, there’s highs and lows, but he’s going to have a really good future in the game and it’s the first of many for him.”
Shoretire’s Bolton are into the League One play-offs and Shoretire could still have an impact in those games.
But what we should really be looking to, is his next move, where Shoretire will look to use this experience, and kick on further.
Just like Amad was able to use his Rangers loan as a stepping stone, Shoretire can use this stint at Bolton to his advantage.
2023/24 could be Shoretire’s big year. Amad has paved the way, and he hopefully will be making an impact in Manchester United’s first team next season.
With a little patience, the ‘immensely talented’ Shoretire could be following his path.
