Manchester United have issued a statement on Marcus Rashford after the forward missed the FA Cup clash against Newport.
Manchester United are looking to draw a line under the Marcus Rashford situation, declaring the matter resolved.
Rashford, 26, missed the game against Newport, with Erik ten Hag insisting it was an internal matter, after The Athletic claimed he was at a nightclub last week before missing training.
Thankfully Rashford stayed quiet on social media after Ten Hag’s comments, ensuring there was no repeat of the Jadon Sancho situation.

Manchester United statement
Manchester United do not wish to dwell on this matter and see it become a big story which drags on and on.
A club statement reported via PA read: “Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions.
“This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.”
Rashford had been pictured arriving for training at Carrington on Monday alongside his agent, The Telegraph reported.
Marcus Rashford must repay United on the pitch
Manchester United do not wish for the issue to overshadow what the club hope will be a successful second half of the season.
Rashford could now rejoin the squad to face Wolves this coming week, although whether he goes back into the starting line-up remains to be seen.
Last season’s visit to Molineux saw Rashford dropped to the bench for lateness. He then came on and scored the winner in a 1-0 victory.
Erik ten Hag will want the same reaction from the forward in the upcoming game. Manchester United need him to get his head down and focus on scoring goals.
