Manchester United have just embarrassed the rest of the Premier League

Manchester United are talked about like a relegation-set side by many knee jerk reaction pundits, but after beating Luton Town, the rest of the Premier League have been embarrassed.

Manchester United beat Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday with a 1-0 win thanks to Victor Lindelof.

The win was the second consecutive and moved United onto 21 points, which is in fact just five behind ‘title-challenging’ Tottenham.

This was a vital win before the international break, which should hopefully act as a catalyst for a strong run afterwards.

United have moved up to sixth and despite a poor start, look right in the race for Champions League football.

Now, a statistic has emerged which truly should cause the rest of the teams in the league to be embarrassed, considering how ‘badly’ United have been playing.

Manchester United are the league’s most in-from team

After beating Luton on Saturday, Manchester United officially became the Premier League’s most in-form team.

Match of the Day revealed on X that United have picked up 12 points over the last five games, with Aston Villa the nearest side picking up 10 points.

This means United are the only team in the Premier League to win four of the last five matches. Crisis? What crisis?

It is not easy to be the league’s most in-from team, especially with all the injury issues Erik ten Hag has had to contend with. To be steadily rising up the table, picking up these points while not performing well is a huge statement. Surely United will find form sooner or later, and when they do, the team is in a good position.

Second half of the season looking promising

With points now coming in, United are in a position to push on as we approach the season’s mid-point.

The takeover situation looks set to be cleared up soon which should be a massive weight lifted from this team, so there’s no reason we can’t be in the Champions League race or even further.

Six points is the gap to Manchester City who are the league leaders, and this is our worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

If we manage to start playing well again and converting our chances, we could find this season ends up as a very good one, and not the collapse the media have described.
