Anthony Martial made his Manchester United return in the second half in the defeat to Newcastle.
He came close to scoring when his one effort was blocked and looped narrowly wide. It could easily have floated in and equalised the game.
Manchester United slipped to a 2-0 defeat and could have few complaints about the scoreline, with Newcastle the better team.

Martial makes his return
Martial’s last Premier League appearance came back in the Manchester derby in mid-January. Just to see him make his comeback was a positive.
In just half an hour he had more touches than Wout Weghorst did in 60 minutes, 15 touches to Weghorst’s 10.
Martial made a crucial intervention to clear a shot off the line too, heading clear to prevent a certain goal after David de Gea had not kept out the first effort.
The Frenchman showed a few silky touches when he got the ball, this was just a difficult game for him to make his return in, with Newcastle on top.
Martial’s return will be a huge benefit to United in the coming weeks, and there is a good chance he is selected to start at Old Trafford against Brentford on Wednesday.
