Manchester United managed to overcome a surprisingly tough Sheffield United challenge with a 2-1 win at Bramall Lane.
Erik ten Hag saw his side pick up a second consecutive win as Diogo Dalot scored the winner for Manchester United in a 2-1 win.
The scoring was opened by Scott McTominay in the first half after he controlled a wild pass from Bruno Fernandes. The Scot who was playing in an attacking position, took it on the chest before volleying the ball beyond Wesley Foderingham.
The lead, as usual, was short-lived, as the Blades went up the other end on the attack where McTominay then played a hand in the equaliser. A penalty was awarded for the handball, which Oli McBurnie gratefully accepted by beating Andre Onana.
But in the second half, United were in far more control, and the pressure paid off. Diogo Dalot landed the fatal blow from outside the area with a goal-of-the-season contender.

With 35 per cent of the vote, Harry Maguire was the victor as Diogo Dalot finished close behind with 25 per cent of the vote.

Maguire was absolutely excellent for the Reds, a second top-class performance, days after Gareth Southgate praised his outstanding display for England.

Speaking post-match with Sky Sports, Maguire gave his verdict on the win.
“They caught us by surprise with the formation they were playing but I felt we adapted.
“We hit the woodwork, I know we can play better than we did tonight, but it is an important win.”
A vital win for United, a win which sees some momentum built, but the acceptance that performances must improve.
