The latest on Donny van de Beek making a proposed move away from Manchester United to Fenerbahce.

Manchester United have made it clear there is no room for Donny van de Beek in the first team.

Van de Beek has not made a single Premier League match day squad, and this week, he was omitted from Manchester United’s Champions League squad.

The most likely scenario for Van de Beek is that he is sold to a Turkish Super Lig side, with the transfer window still open.

Van de Beek to Fenerbahce

Donny van de Beek has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce, and a decision is expected from the Turkish side.

CNN Turkey report Manchester United have offered Van de Beek on loan, and a decision is expected from manager Ismail Kartal.

The issue is that Fenerbahce are looking for a ‘6’, a deep lying midfielder, and there is an acceptance Van de Beek ‘does not meet Fenerbahce’s criteria.’

However, Fenerbahce are still considering a move, with it claimed one possibility is to move new signing Fred further back, to accommodate Van de Beek.

The other option, which the Turkish side are looking at, is a move for PSG midfielder Danilo.

Unlike the Van de Beek situation, PSG are not actively seeking to let him go, and Fenerbahce have to negotiate. So signing the unwanted Manchester United man is a far easier deal.

The move rests on the decision of manager Ismail Kartal, with Fenerbahce’s higher-ups happy to sign off on a deal to sign the Netherlands man. It is just up to the coach to evaluate whether it is a move which can work.

United have dealt with Fenerbahce twice already

This would be the third deal between Manchester United and Fenerbahce this summer.

United sold them Fred for £12.9 million and he has made a good start at the club so far, with Fenerbahce top of the league after three games.

In the other direction, United signed Turkey international goalkeeper Altay Bayindir for a fee of £4.3 million, to be the back-up for Andre Onana.
