Man Utd willing to accept Jadon Sancho deal at reduced price, Borussia Dortmund set to rival Juventus

Manchester United have several players available for sale this summer.

In the modern game, with contracts valued less but worth significantly more, every player has a price. There are many factors involved, such as salary packages, player ability and image rights.

Ineos have delivered two new signings for Ruben Amorim’s team this summer, including Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

The Cunha deal got over the line quickly earlier in the summer, although the Mbeumo transfer took over a month to conclude, despite the player being keen on completing the deal.

In an ideal world, United would be able to get the rest of their business done before the pre-season tour ends. The players are currently in the United States preparing to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League Summer Series following a 2-1 win over West Ham in New Jersey.

Amorim will also want to sell players whom he deems surplus to requirements. They require four who were left behind from the pre-season tour, including Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

Prior to his loan move to Barcelona last week, Marcus Rashford was included in that list after being frozen out of first-team preparations at Carrington, after returning from a temporary spell at Aston Villa.

Man Utd will accept Jadon Sancho deal at reduced price

It would be a huge boost for Ineos if United could raise money for new signings by selling one of their unwanted players.

United may get more desperate as we get closer to deadline day because Amorim wants to ensure they are strong for the start of the new season.

According to the Daily Mail, United would accept a reduced price for Sancho of between £15m and £17m following his season-long spell at Chelsea last season.

Chelsea paid a £5m penalty to rip up a previous agreement with United that saw Sancho’s loan deal become permanent for £25m. That makes it easier to reduce price demands for a player who has no future in United’s first-team.

Juventus have been tipped for a move to sign Sancho all summer, although new reports suggest they face competition from Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho spent six months on loan two seasons ago.

Sancho joined United from Dortmund for £73m in 2021 and failed to meet expectations at Old Trafford before falling out with former manager Erik ten Hag.

United’s willingness to negotiate a reduced deal for Sancho may have led to Dortmund showing an interest in signing the winger, who has already proved himself in the Bundesliga.

Man Utd valuation for outcasts

United will have a price for each player they want to sell this summer.

However, it’s another story finding another club that shares that valuation.

That will be the job for United with many of their players between now and deadline day.

The same report from the Daily Mail suggests United value Garnacho at £40m and are demanding in excess of £30m for Antony.

Antony has been tipped with a move to Saudi Arabia over the weekend, with a move to Real Betis in doubt.
