Manchester United have had some players who simply have not shown up for the club this season.
‘Manchester United look like a team where the players that care, aren’t good enough and the players that are good enough, don’t care’ seems to be a quote that rings true around Old Trafford this season.
The likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro and so many more have all performed way below the standard we know they’re capable of.
One player who can’t necessarily be judged too heavily, who’s struggling for form, particularly in the Premier League has to be Rasmus Hojlund.

Rasmus Hojlund is statistically Man Utd’s worst performer in the Premier League
According to Sofa Score, there is no worse-performing player for Manchester United in the Premier League this season.
This puts him under the likes of even Jadon Sancho, who has been banished by Erik ten Hag from the first-team-squad since his social media post following the Arsenal fixture.
Manchester United’s worst Premier League performers this season
- Rasmus Hojlund – 6.52 rating
- Jadon Sancho – 6.60 rating
- Lisandro Martinez – 6.64 rating
- Jonny Evans – 6.73 rating
- Anthony Martial – 6.73 rating
Based on average match ratings throughout the season.
Rasmus Hojlund can simply not be blamed
Hojlund simply can’t be blamed for this. The 20-year-old has been thrown into the absolute deep end for Manchester United.
It was clear to many that the Danish forward wasn’t the finished article when he arrived, and needed time to integrate into the squad and nurture into a top-class player, but he simply can’t do that.
To top it off, he hasn’t been given any service whatsoever. His goal record would be a real worry if he was getting chances, but his service has been shocking.
We’re sincerely hoping Hojlund breaks his Premier League duck soon.
