Manchester United and England player Marcus Rashford made his feelings perfectly clear after Barcelona’s 3-1 La Liga win over Real Oviedo on Thursday.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick turned to Marcus Rashford and brought the player back into the starting XI for his side’s trip to the Estadio Municipal Carlos Tartiere.

Marcus Rashford played almost the full La Liga match on Thursday and the Manchester United loanee had an impact on the proceedings against Real Oviedo.

The 27-year-old England international was deployed out on the left wing at the start of the match and Rashford picked up an assist only moments before he came off.

Alberto Reina stunned Barcelona in the first half after putting Real Oviedo in the lead, but Hansi Flick’s men rallied back after the break with a strong showing.

Eric Garcia cancelled out Alberto Reina’s first-half opener for Real Oviedo before Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski fired his side into the lead in the 70th minute.

Ronald Araujo netted Barcelona’s third in the 88th minute to seal all three points for Hansi Flick’s side, with Marcus Rashford grabbing the assist for his side as well.

Rashford’s Barcelona performance against Real Oviedo came to an end in the second half of injury time after defender Andreas Christensen replaced him on Thursday.

The former Aston Villa star took to social media after Barcelona’s 3-1 La Liga win and Rashford already switched his focus to his side’s next outing in the league.

“Job done,” he wrote, adding a series of emojis.

“Now focus on Sunday.”

Flick was rewarded for his decision to start Rashford at the Estadio Municipal Carlos Tartiere after the numbers that the Manchester United star produced on the night.

Statman Dave took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and provided a comprehensive breakdown of Rashford’s key stats from the match.

Rashford had an 89 per cent pass accuracy against Real Oviedo and the United loanee was a lively attacking presence as well for Barcelona on Thursday.

The England international had nine touches in the box, two successful take-ons and created two chances for Flick’s men with his superb showing in the La Liga clash.

Defending La Liga champions Barcelona will resume their title defence on Sunday afternoon against Real Sociedad at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium.
