Former Manchester United player Ben Foster has expressed one major concern that he has for the Premier League club involving Ruben Amorim and another key figure.
Ruben Amorim has faced no easy challenge at Old Trafford since his arrival as Manchester United manager last November from Portuguese side Sporting CP.
The 40-year-old former Sporting CP head coach replaced Erik ten Hag in the Red Devils dugout in 2024 and Amorim led United to 15th place in the Premier League.
Amorim has endured a mixed start to the 2025-26 Premier League campaign and the under-pressure United boss has weathered early criticism over his side’s results.
The Portuguese coach has been placed under the spotlight multiple times, including for his tactical system and United’s Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town in August.

Manchester United are currently 11th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils have won two of their opening five league matches in the 2025-26 campaign.
Ruben Amorim received a much-needed boost in confidence last Saturday after 10-man United defeated 10-man Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster is convinced that Amorim will not see out the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford as United manager.
The 42-year-old former United shot-stopper suggested that Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner would be a better fit for the Red Devils if Amorim is sacked.
“I think he has got a couple months left, probably,” he said on ‘Fozcast – The Ben Foster Podcast.’
“He’ll go through a bad little run of two or three or four games in a row where he loses and eventually they’ll go, ‘Right, we’ve had enough now, it’s obviously not working.’ I just watched them, and I don’t really see any kind of cohesion.
“Somebody who would be good for Man United is Glasner. He’s only got nine months left on his contract at Palace.”

Oliver Glasner has been at Crystal Palace since 2024 after the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager succeeded Roy Hodgson in the Selhurst Park dugout.
However, the 51-year-old Austrian head coach is out of contract with the Eagles next summer and it remains to be seen if Glasner stays at Palace.
Despite wanting Glasner as a potential replacement for Amorim, Foster said that the Palace boss’ desire to play with three at the back would be his main concern.
“My only worry about it is that Man United are so sick and tired of playing three at the back,” he added.
“If they go and get Glasner and he goes, ‘Right, I’m playing three at the back,’ they’ll go, ‘Nah, come on, mate. This isn’t going to work.’
“For this guy to have lost five-star players, though, and for Palace [to] still look like they’ve got better. They’re fifth in the league.”
United will play their final match in September at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, with the Brentford clash slated for a 12:30pm UK kick-off time.
