Manchester United star Patrick Dorgu has been injured for over two months, but now he’s nearing a return after Carrington update.
January saw Patrick Dorgu go from zero to hero for Manchester United, emerging as a viable wing option for Michael Carrick, before ultimately getting injured.
Dorgu went off against Arsenal, and in the more than two months since, he has been missed by the Red Devils.
But now, he is closing in on a return to action after the latest update shared by the club.

Who should drop out when Patrick Dorgu returns?
Does he get back into the starting team immediately?
Patrick Dorgu back on the grass for Manchester United
It has been a slow road to recovery for Dorgu, with United not wanting to take any risks over his situation.
During the international break, Dorgu was doing gym work as he moved closer to a return from injury.
Now, United’s official club website has revealed that Dorgu is back in individual training on the grass at Carrington, which is a massive step toward his inevitable return.
This is brilliant news for United and Dorgu, as his return to action is probably only a week or two away, with some really important matches coming up.
It had been thought that Dorgu would miss the Ireland training camp over the coming week, but this development suggests that there is a chance he will make the trip.
What do YOU think of Manchester United’s pre-season schedule for 2026?

Dorgu being back for both would be massive for United’s chances, offering Carrick the chance to deploy a similar game plan that he did in the wins against Arsenal and Man City.
Winning both these games would all but guarantee United’s return to Champions League football next season, creating a gap over the two out-of-form sides that could be uncatchable.
Hopefully, he is back in full training very soon and can continue to show his quality as he did pre-injury.
