Erik ten Hag now faces 14 days of sheer chaos after Man Utd’s defeat to Bournemouth

Manchester United suffer defeat, yet Bournemouth’s revival continues as they batter Erik ten Hag’s side at Old Trafford.

It was, yet another, day to forget for Manchester United. Erik ten Hag‘s side arguably put in their worst performance of the season as Bournemouth tore them to shreds.

Goals from Dominic Solanke, Phillip Billing and Marcos Senesi were enough to give the Cherries all three points at Old Trafford.

The result was 3-0, but it could have been more. This makes us extremely fearful for United’s upcoming four fixtures.

12th December 2023: Manchester United vs Bayern Munich

First, Manchester United’s Champions League fate will be sealed as they take on Bayern Munich. The saving grace of this fixture? The away side are already through as group winners.

However, they’ll still be looking to get the win in Manchester. This simply can’t happen for United. They need a draw in the Galatasaray vs Copenhagen game and nothing but three points against the Germans.

Given the fact Bournemouth put three past United on the weekend, were scared of what damage Bayern could do.

17th December 2023: Liverpool vs Manchester United

This could seriously be judgement day for Erik ten Hag. Manchester United’s record against Liverpool at Anfield is simply abysmal.

The Red Devils haven’t won in Liverpool’s backyard since 2016. Combine this with the fact that Jurgen Klopp’s side sits pretty at the top of the Premier League – this fixture could be a recipe for disaster.

Jose Mourinho was famously sacked after a poor run of games and a crushing Anfield loss in late December. Will history repeat itself?

23rd December 2023: West Ham vs Manchester United

Manchester United will be looking to grant fans an early Christmas gift as they travel to the London Stadium. Unfortunately, we think that gift will be a sack of coal.

United’s last win away at the Hammers was in September 2021, when an Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side defeated David Moyes with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jesse Lingard.

Ten Hag was outwitted by the former Manchester United manager last season – will the same again happen?

26th December 2023: Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Boxing Day will be a breeze, right? We only have to face the most in-form team in the Premier League.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side have seriously showcased they can knock around with the big boys this season. This week alone they’ve defeated Manchester City and Arsenal.

The only plus is United don’t have to go to the fortress that is Villa Park. Saying that – it isn’t exactly like Old Trafford has been impenetrable this season.

A huge 14 days for the club and the manager. It could be a cruel, cold winter.
