Manchester United are seriously struggling for goals this season.
Erik ten Hag‘s forward players just can’t seem to find the back of the net. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial haven’t been firing – particularly in the Premier League.
The lack of goals is ultimately costing games and could have even more detrimental effects further down the line.
It also further cements the fact Manchester United missed out dramatically on a forward in the summer transfer window who could have dramatically changed the trajectory of their season.

Harry Redknapp on Man Utd summer target Harry Kane
Manchester United were one of the clubs in for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in the summer.
He was heavily rumoured via Sky Sports to move to Old Trafford last summer as Manchester United searched for a goal scorer.
They instead went for Hojlund, who does look like a decent prospect but is nowhere near the finished article like Kane. Harry Redknapp even believes he’s the ‘best centre-forward in the world’.
Speaking on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel, Redknapp had this to say about Harry Kane:
He said: “Harry Kane is the best centre-forward in the world, I don’t care what anyone says, he’s better than Haaland. He’s an amazing all-round player and he’s proved that in Germany, look what he’s doing there.”
United could have had the world’s best striker. Instead, they let him go to Bayern Munich. It’s seriously proving to be a poor decision.
Harry Kane could have changed Manchester United’s season
Kane is the type of player who grabs the game by the scruff of the neck and gets goals from nowhere for his side. He proved this by scoring 280 goals for Tottenham in what was always a rather mediocre side.
In a team with Bruno Fernandes, the ‘creative machine‘, we can only imagine the amount of goals he would’ve scored.
United’s main issue this season is a lack of goals and Kane would have single-handedly changed that. If he was on board, it isn’t out of the question to say United could have been a title contender this season.
Kane will play at Old Trafford this week, but in the colours of Bayern as they travel to Manchester for a crucial Champions League clash. Let’s hope the English talisman doesn’t inject more pain into the Red Devils.
