Luke Shaw has taken to Instagram to tease United fans, posting a picture with two specific England players – Declan Rice and Harry Kane.

It’s no dispute that Manchester United are massively interested in acquiring quite a few players in this year’s summer transfer window. Arguably the two positions they need most? A striker and a central midfielder.

Two names that have been heavily flaunted to leave their sides are Harry Kane and Declan Rice, who have also been linked to Old Trafford over the past couple of weeks.

So when Luke Shaw decides to post a picture onto social media with just these two at Carrington training centre – United fans are somewhat obliged to speculate what’s going on behind the scenes.

The full-back decided to specifically pick out these two players to post on his story, with the caption ‘Carrington tour’, with the eye emojis.

Luke definitely knows what he’s doing.

The trio are away together with England as they have two EURO 2024 qualifiers. They won the first game on Friday against Malta and will face North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday.

This is why the team were touring Carrington, given the fact they’ll be training in Manchester over the next couple of days.

That didn’t stop Shaw from teasing United fans. The pair have been heavily linked but in the last few days news has broken that it isn’t looking likely for either to move.

Harry Kane, priced at £100m, is very unlikely due to Daniel Levy refusing to sell to a Premier League rival.

Rice, also priced at £100m, does look likely to move – but Arsenal have profoundly stepped up their interest over the past few days and it really does look like he’s North London bound.

We’ll see what formulates over the rest of the window, but don’t be expecting to be seeing either of the two gracing the Old Trafford turf at the beginning of the next campaign.
