Manchester United and Arsenal have both enjoyed busy summer transfer windows and will field new-look sides at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim has the toughest start of any manager in the Premier League in 2025/26, starting with an opening clash against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Old Trafford gave a warm welcome to Benjamin Sesko and the other three new signings this summer before the pre-season friendly against Fiorentina, and fans will hope to see them in action against the Gunners.
Ruben Amorim is planning his starting lineup to face Arsenal after a very successful pre-season, but Mikel Arteta’s side will also come into the match full of confidence and new faces.

How Man United’s transfer spend compares to Arsenal
Signing Sesko for £66m completed a new-look attack and took the total spend close to £200m, which has raised a few eyebrows following claims from Sir Jim Ratcliffe that the club was at risk of going bust.
He joins Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon as the new arrivals for Amorim’s side this summer.
In total, United have spent £196.8m before add-ons are included, and fans will expect Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko to all feature against Arsenal on Sunday, while Leon could make an appearance from the bench.
As for Arsenal, the North London side have welcomed six new signings to their side for a total of £192 million.

Benjamin Sesko set for head-to-head against Viktor Gyokeres
Manchester United facing Arsenal will always be a fiery clash full of history and heritage.
This season’s opening match has some extra storylines to add to the tension at Old Trafford. Both United and Arsenal are set to field their new star strikers on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal showed interest in Sesko earlier this summer before he eventually joined United, while the same can be said in reverse for Viktor Gyokeres.

When Sesko and Gyokeres last went head-to-head, they both scored for their former sides RB Leipzig and Sporting Lisbon – both will be desperate to hit the ground running with a goal on Sunday.
Amorim faced Arsenal three times last season, winning one, drawing one and losing one against Arteta’s side.
