Manchester United have a few youngsters who have been phenomenal lately, Luke Shaw has now tipped one for greatness.

In 2024, Manchester United are unbeaten which shows a vast improvement from what we’d seen toward the back end of 2023.

Old Trafford has seen Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho emerge as regular starters, as £64 million signing, Rasmus Hojlund, finally finds his feet.

The Denmark international has scored in four consecutive Premier League games and has forgotten his early troubles.

Now, Luke Shaw has shared his verdict on the 21-year-old forward, as he predicts his future.

Luke Shaw gives verdict on Rasmus Hojlund

In an interview with Sky Sports, Shaw was asked to share his thoughts on his young teammate.

Shaw said: “[Højlund will become] one of the best [strikers].”

To this, the interviewer admitted that the Dane didn’t have the best start but asked Shaw if he knew that he’d come good eventually.

“There’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders, he has to come in and hit the ground running. He wants to learn, adapt and push himself to the max.”

Hojlund has gone from strength to strength this campaign for United and ever since his first Premier League goal, he’s looked unlikely to ever stop scoring.

Manchester United have an incredible group of youngsters

United’s three most important players in recent weeks have been Hojlund, Garnacho and Mainoo. The ages of these three being 21, 19 and 18 means they are all potential starters for the next decade at least – all being well.

United therefore are only a couple of exciting additions away from having practically sorted much of the team for years.

The likes of Shaw therefore are vital to use experience to help the youngsters develop into world-class players. Shaw in particular can play a key role in helping Harry Amass prepare for the senior side as he looks like the real deal.
