There was very little to shout positively about during Manchester United’s 0-0 draw against Southampton.
The home draw had everything Manchester United fans did not want, a red card, an injury, and multiple penalty appeals turned down.
The only positive was the clean sheet, and United fans voted goalkeeper David de Gea as the man of the match, summing up what a tough game it was.
There was another United player to receive praise, left-back Luke Shaw was selected in the WhoScored team of the week.

Luke Shaw named in team of the week
The WhoScored team of the week is selected based on their player statistic algorithm, and it showed Luke Shaw was calculated to be the top performing left-back in the Premier League at the weekend.
Shaw was awarded a 7.65/10 rating – a big increase on the 5.91 he was lucky to escape with against Liverpool a week earlier.
In addition to keeping a clean sheet against Southampton, Shaw managed to create four goalscoring chances, and also had one shot at goal.
After his poor performance at Anfield, you would not have expected Luke Shaw to be selected to start the subsequent two games. Erik ten Hag has given him his backing.
It is possible Shaw will come out of the side this Thursday as United rotate for the Europa League last 16 second leg against Real Betis.
United have a very able deputy with Tyrell Malacia enjoying a strong debut season. He will be keen to show what he can do.
