Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been one of the best players in the Premier League in the 2022/23 season.

The Brazil international is a player who commands huge respect from his fellow professionals, thanks to everything he has already achieved in the game.

The five times Champions League winner produced another top performance at the weekend in Manchester United’s final day win over Fulham at Old Trafford.

And there is one game to go, with Manchester United now focused on a FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend.

Casemiro praised

Casemiro sent out a message on Instagram following Manchester United’s victory, which secured a third placed finish.

Among the responses was one from Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura, who admiringly wrote: “You are a monster!!”

Casemiro has scored seven goals this season and provided six assists. He has shown he is far more than just a midfield destroyer.

And if he was just that, then he still would have been exactly what United needed. Instead he has been everything we needed and more, and a proper leader too.

Casemiro has only started one match against Manchester City this season, and that was the game United won 2-1 at Old Trafford.

He is going to be a monster for City to contend with at Wembley, that’s for certain.
