Bruno is the metronome
It’s becoming a recurring theme, but Bruno was sensational once more today.
Absolutely EVERYTHING goes through him. He is the most integral part of the side by a longshot and his consistency is absolutely fantastic.
He is by far and away the best signing of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era. Immense again today and got the winning goal. Long may it continue for the Portuguese Magnifico.
Fair play to David De Gea
The Spaniard has come under a lot o scrutiny this season, however today he basically won us the game.
His penalty save turned the tide of the game. At 2-0 down it would have been a mighty uphill battle, but he came up big and gave the other players the lift they needed to go on and secure all three points.
His penalty-saving record in the past isn’t the best to say at the least, so he’ll be very happy with that first-half stop.
That may very well be it for Harry Maguire
He did have a half-decent game today, but this could very well be the end of Harry Maguire’s time at Manchester United.
The captain has fallen massively out of favour under Erik ten Hag and it looks like he’s set to move elsewhere to revive his career.
It is sad it never worked out for the England international. He clearly has a deep love for the club and has often been the scapegoat for many of United’s results.
Wherever he goes, we wish him all the best for the future.
There is still hope for Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho has ended the Premier League season on a high note.
A tidy performance from him and a goal give us hope that there is still time to have a very successful career as a Manchester United player.
He was undeniably one of the best young talents in the world at Dortmund and were slowly getting glimpses again of what he could become.
What a season… let’s go and beat Manchester City!
A third-place finish, Champions League football, a Carabao Cup and a potential FA Cup trophy… not a bad season for Erik ten Hag’s first campaign in charge.
If you look back to this time twelve months ago, its remarkable United are in this position and you have to give the manager and the squad massive props for their efforts this season.
We are massive underdogs heading into the Wembley trip, but a win would mean so much more than just a trophy. To stop City’s treble charge and to prove we can mix with the big dogs once again. It would mean the world to United fans.
No excuses, let’s go full throttle at Manchester City and bring the cup home to the red side of Manchester.
