Lisandro Martinez pictured flying to Manchester

Lisandro Martinez has been pictured flying to Manchester ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

Martinez was pictured on a private jet via a a picture he shared via his Instagram story reel.

The Telegraph report he is set to complete his £46 million move from Ajax to Manchester United imminently, although he is not expected to fly out to Australia for the final week of the tour.

A deal for the Ajax centre-back is near enough complete, with Fabrizio Romano reporting the £46m transfer is ‘fully agreed’ with all documents approved.

The Argentine is now flying to Manchester to undergo a medical and be officially confirmed as a Red Devils player.

He would make his debut either against Atletico Madrid in the friendly in Oslo on July 30, or at Old Trafford against Rayo Vallecano on July 31, dependent on how United divide up the squad.

Martinez is keen to play in the Premier League and reunite with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, who is signing him for the second time.

The Argentine was named as Ajax’s player of the season for 2021/22, with the Dutch side conceding only 19 goals in 34 league games.
