Manchester United’s luck in terms of results might not be turning as yet but their injury luck definitely seems to have turned for the better.
Granted, the last season was so bad that the bar wasn’t so high to clear but even in isolation, Manchester United will be without only two players when they take on Tottenham.
Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw remain the only absentees, giving Erik ten Hag a pretty much full quota of players to choose from.
He has already talked about the “nice headache” it gives him and with Shaw also closing in on a return, Yoro remains the only long-term absentee.
Ten Hag has now given an update on the status of the Frenchman.

Leny Yoro injury update
Yoro injured his metatarsal during the game vs Arsenal in pre-season, just as he was building up momentum after a fine debut vs Rangers.
He has since undergone a successful surgery and has also been seen training without a protective boot so he is clearly on the mend.
When the injury initially occurred, it was expected that he would be out for three to four months and the previous update on Yoro’s status before this reported the game the Frenchman was targeting for his return.
Ten Hag recently spoke to Man Utd website to preview the clash vs Tottenham and gave an update on the defender.
He said: “Yes, he is doing very well. It is very pleasing that his rehab is going in the right direction and I expect him soon, but what I mean by soon, is that he is now in the right planning process.
“He is in the right spot and he will return as soon as possible into the squad and then the team training.”
The report says that “patience is a key facet” to stress, which means the club will be extremely cautious with managing his return.
The ideal scenario
The signing of Matthijs de Ligt has left United in a position where they can afford to treat Leny Yoro as a luxury this season instead of a necessity.
At the age of just 18, there is ample time for him to realise his potential which prompted United to blow their rivals out of the water for his services.
With Victor Lindelof going nowhere this season, and Harry Maguire plus Jonny Evans as more than capable deputies, there is absolutely no need to rush Yoro back before he feels completely healthy.
Even then, United will probably bring him along bit by bit, giving him only a few minutes here and there to build his match fitness back up.
That is the absolute ideal scenario for both, the player and the club and stands in stark contrast to last season, where Ten Hag has now admitted he was forced to overload players due to lack of availability.
Luke Shaw infamously played six games in just over 20 days after coming back from injury and got hurt again, missing the rest of the season.
The likes of Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro were rushed back from their ailments and had to eventually sit out for much longer.
Yoro is not in that position due to the current injury situation and that’s the best case for everyone involved.
