Manchester United fans have moved to praise Amad Diallo even more for his performance against Liverpool, though this time they loved something he did after his red card.
Manchester United enjoyed their best day of the season on Sunday as they remarkably came from behind to beat Liverpool in the FA Cup.
It was a rollercoaster of a game in which Erik ten Hag’s side took the lead through Scott McTominay but conceded twice in three minutes to go in at the break behind.
It appeared United’s hopes of winning a trophy this season were over until Antony squirmed the ball into the bottom corner in the 86th minute.
A dramatic period of extra time followed in which Liverpool again took the lead but Marcus Rashford managed to level things in the second half.
Then, in the dying moments, Alejandro Garnacho charged up the field and teed up Amad Diallo who then managed to find the back of the net, sending Old Trafford into delirium.
It was a fantastic moment for the young winger but was soured slightly by the fact he was then immediately sent off.
Amad had taken his shirt off in the wild celebration when already on a booking so was shown a second yellow and then a red.
Yet he still managed to do something fans loved.

United fans love what Amad did after his red card v Liverpool
United posted a video on X of Amad leaving the field, a moment that went unseen by many amid the continued celebrations of his goal.
The 21-year-old applauded the fans surrounding the tunnel and then gave his shirt to a supporter before heading to the changing rooms.
United fans absolutely loved it. One said: ‘This would forever elevate his man utd legacy’, while another added: ‘This was a beautiful moment.’
‘This video can make a grown man cry’, wrote another fan in the replies and another echoed the thoughts by writing: ‘That was hella emotional.’
One supporter thought Amad’s actions showed a ‘good attitude and finally, another wrote: ‘My boy Amad.’
More chances coming for Amad
Unfortunately for Amad, his red card does mean he will miss the next match against Brentford but at least he isn’t ruled out of the Wembley semi-final he sent United to.
When he has served his suspension, it will be interesting to see if more opportunities will be coming the Ivorian’s way.
Amad shone on loan at Sunderland last season, scoring 14 goals in the Championship, but has had to wait patiently for his chance at Old Trafford.
The forward made just three appearances before Sunday but made his chance against Liverpool count. Even before his goal he worked very hard and was confident on the ball.
There’s no getting a starting place ahead of Rashford, Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund or Bruno Fernandes in the forward line, but Amad has now proven he can make an impact off the bench and should get more chances to do it again.
