Manchester United are being strongly linked with a takeover from Qatari investors and an Instagram post from Kylian Mbappe has added major fuel to the fire.
The Frenchman was in action for Paris Saint-Germain last night, having a goal disallowed as they slipped to a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich.
After the message he posted on Instagram, which seemed innocuous, and that’s where it gets interesting.

Let’s consider the implications of this for a moment. What is Mbappe trying to say, if he even realised he posted it?
Manchester United and PSG could closely be aligned, both owned by Qatari investors. PSG are owned by QSI.
The exact format of the Qatari bid for United is yet to be broken down, with bids on Friday, but ultimately both would lead back to the Emir of Qatar.
The Daily Mail report UEFA would not block dual ownership, in a similar way that they permitted RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg to compete in Europe together.
Does this mean Kylian Mbappe is heading to Manchester United in the near future? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves at all here. But it’s intriguing, and if the clubs are aligned, there is little chance of the Frenchman rocking up at an English rival.
With PSG at risk of elimination in the Champions League again, there could be a case that Qatar feel Manchester United offer a better opportunity for Mbappe to win the trophy in the future. But we are just speculating.
