Kobbie Mainoo has been nothing short of a revelation for Manchester United this season.
The young English midfielder has fully cemented himself as an integral part of the first-team squad after being reintroduced to the frame against Liverpool.
The 18-year-old has never looked out of place, in fact excelling among the group. He even managed to grab his first-ever professional goal against Newport County in the FA Cup.
Now, he hits another first at Manchester United, winning a coveted award on Thursday.

Kobbie Mainoo wins Manchester United’s Player of the Month
Mainoo has been voted Manchester United’s Player of the Month (POTM) for January 2024.
After scoring his first goal as a Red Devil on Sunday, just four days later he scoops up the POTM award for the first time – but certainly not the last.
Mainoo took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Manchester United fans for voting him as their month’s victor, to which he sent the following touching message: “Thanks a lot Reds,” with a love heart.

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho – Youth, Courage and Success
Following the FA Cup win over Newport County, Manchester United’s official Instagram account paid tribute to Alejandro Garnacho and Mainoo. “Youth. Courage. Success,” reads the post.
The pair are proving this to be more than true at Old Trafford, winning back-to-back POTM awards, with Garnacho winning his in December.
Ten Hag needs to keep trusting in youth, as he’s reaping the rewards. What a pair of players we have on our hands.
