Kobbie Mainoo’s revival for Manchester United over the past four months has been impressive, but there is one part of his game he has yet to remind Old Trafford of.
This week, Kobbie Mainoo completed his turnaround at Manchester United, securing his long-term future at Old Trafford.
Mainoo’s new contract was made official on Thursday, bringing an end to almost two years of reports that his new deal was close.
The agreement is much deserved, with Mainoo finding his form for Michael Carrick and reminding the world he’s a world-class midfield talent, and worth building a team around.
However, there is one thing he still wants to bring to his game.

If Elliot Anderson is £125m… What is Kobbie Mainoo’s market value right now?
Not that he's going anywhere…🔒
Kobbie Mainoo wants to score more goals for Manchester United
Mainoo has become a defensive demon in midfield, winning huge tackles in a Casemiro-esque fashion. Meanwhile, he has retained his brilliant elegance on the ball.
However, Mainoo hasn’t shown his goal-scoring streak, which he demonstrated during his breakthrough campaign for the Red Devils.
Now, on the United official TikTok, he has explained that this is what he now wants to add to his game.
“What to improve or add to my game? I’d say to score more goals.”
We know Mainoo is more than capable of this, as he demonstrated it on a handful of occasions during his debut campaign.
In the same interview, Mainoo was also asked about long-term goals, in which he said he wants a specific trophy.
“One thing I want to achieve at Man United? Win the Premier League.”

We nearly lost him…!
Kobbie Mainoo was excellent at scoring goals during his breakthrough season
Few have had as rapid a rise as Kobbie Mainoo for Manchester United, with Steve McClaren admitting he was wowed immediately by the youngster.
But aside from his midfield qualities, Mainoo also scored some big goals.
His first Premier League strike was against Wolves. Mainoo scored a last-minute winner in a 4-3 classic as he beat two defenders before curling it in from the edge of the box.
Another came against Liverpool. Facing away from the goal, he let the ball roll across him before swivelling and curling the ball into the top corner. Something like this on Sunday would be marvellous.
He also scored in the FA Cup final against Man City with a cool finish.
