Ballon d’Or frontrunner Karim Benzema has congratulated Casemiro on his move to Manchester United.
United last night announced a deal in principle, confirming: “The transfer is subject to the agreement of personal terms, UK visa requirements and a medical.”
Benzema and Casemiro have started alongside each other for Real Madrid, winning the Champions League for a fifth time in May.
They will now no longer be part of the same team, with Casemiro heading to Old Trafford on a four-year deal, with an option of a fifth.

France international striker Karim Benzema paid tribute to the midfielder, which read: “Bravo🙌🏼 and thank you for everything!”
Young Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga also wrote a tribute message, stating: “It was an honor to learn with you Good luck in your next chapter!”
Luka Modric had also posted an emotional message which simply read ‘what a journey’.
Casemiro has not yet commented on the move, which still has to go through all the legal paperwork, and could only be formally completed next week.
Raphael Varane has already welcomed him to Manchester United, while Real Madrid have paid tribute to Casemiro too, revealing plans for a special goodbye presentation to the midfielder.
