Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga has been sold to Nottingham Forest for £15 million.
The Sweden international’s exit was inevitable, due to a lack of game time, and he hopes to get the minutes he needs at Nottingham Forest.
Anthony Elanga had fallen out of favour at Manchester United after making his debut in 2021. United have landed a decent fee for him.
The forward will make an early return to Old Trafford when United host Nottingham Forest in the third game of the Premier League season.

Anthony Elanga exit reaction
There has been a big reaction from Anthony Elanga’s fellow professionals on his move to Nottingham Forest.
Former and possibly future teammate Dean Henderson was among those to respond, hinting his desire to join him at the City Ground.
Henderson spent last season on loan at Forest, and wrote ‘What a club! Let’s go’, in response to Elanga’s Instagram post.
MORE UNITED STORIES
The youngster had written: “What a privilege to sign for this historic football club! I’m honestly so happy and excited to be here, I haven’t stopped smiling! Thank you for the amazing welcome.”
Erik ten Hag had said in his overnight press conference that there was no space for either Elanga or Henderson in the squad.
New chance for Elanga
Another player who has spent time at Nottingham Forest previously was James Garner, Elanga’s former academy colleague.
Garner, now at Everton, and wrote, “Do your thing brother”, in response to Elanga’s message.
There was another response from Real Madrid mega-star Jude Bellingham, who wished him congratulations, as did Manchester United prospect Kobbie Mainoo.

The move is an opportunity for Elanga to play regularly, away from some of the spotlight which being a Manchester United player entails.
With three international goals for Sweden, there is a very talented player in there, and Elanga has a real opportunity now to build on what he has learned at Manchester United.
