Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be on the move once again this summer.
The charismatic Portuguese manager split opinion at Old Trafford during his two-and-a-half years as Manchester United manager.
Jose Mourinho wasn’t always a likeable figure, but he was brought in to win trophies and he left having won the Europa League and League Cup.
Like others who had come before him, Mourinho was let down by the Glazers and United’s poor recruitment. He raised eyebrows when he said finishing second in the Premier League with Manchester United was one of his “greatest achievements”, as time has passed it seems more and more accurate.
Mourinho now finds himself at Fenerbahce, but he has spoken openly about a potential return to English football.

Jose Mourinho tipped to join Man United rivals Leeds United
After Mourinho was sent off against Man United in the Europa League match earlier this season, he made a startling admission after the match.
As quoted by The Independent, Mourinho opened the door to a return to England, saying: “The best thing I have to do is when I leave Fenerbahce, I go to a club that doesn’t play in Uefa competition. So a club at the bottom in England who needs a coach in two years, I’m ready to go.”
Mourinho is “ready” and there is an English club on the lookout for a Premier League proven manager, it just so happens to be United’s fierce rivals Leeds United.
The Telegraph report that Leeds are an “attractive” option for Mourinho, while TeamTalk report that Leeds are considering an “ambitious” move for the 62-year-old manager.
Leeds were confirmed as the champions of the Championship this weekend, but the future of manager Daniel Farke is up in the air.
According to the Daily Mail, Farke could be sacked by Leeds as the club’s US owners are already eyeing up potential replacements for their return to the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho could return to Old Trafford next season
Mourinho has a contract valid until 2026 in Turkey, but the prospect of returning to England might tempt him to jump ship.
If Mourinho does make the move, he could find himself in the opposition dugout at Old Trafford yet again.
This time he might not get such a warm welcome though.
After opening the door to managing in England, Mourinho did later insist: “I’m not going to fight relegation. It’s too hard!”
That alone might put Mourinho off the idea of managing Leeds next season, but it’s often hard to predict where the ‘Special One’ will end up.
