Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho received a red card during his reunion match against Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager was sent to the stands after complaining to the fourth official during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
It was suggested that Jose Mourinho wanted “revenge” against United six years after he was sacked at Old Trafford, and he was his typical fiery self on the sidelines.
Jose Mourinho turned up in a suit and tie for his reunion against United, and he was animated throughout the match, including a brilliant reaction to Andre Onana’s double save.
But Mourinho’s biggest moment in the spotlight came in the second half when he was sent off for his reaction to a penalty incident.

United had taken a first-half lead through Christian Eriksen after a well-executed counter-attack, but Fenerbahce were on top for most of the match.
Just minutes into the second half, Fenerbahce equalised through Youssef En-Nesyri to extend United’s awful defensive record in Europe under Ten Hag.
Both sides pushed for a winner, and the Fenerbahce bench were in uproar when referee Clement Turpin waved away their appeals for a penalty.
Bright Osayi-Samuel went down in the box following a challenge from Manuel Ugarte, but VAR agreed with the on-pitch decision to play on.
In typical Mourinho fashion, the “special one” marched over to the fourth official to complain but overstepped the line and was sent off for foul and abusive language.

Mourinho made it blindingly clear that he was not happy with the decision, and his comments after the full-time whistle were as entertaining as ever.
After being asked about the incident, Mourinho told TNT Sports: “I don’t want to speak about it.
“He [the referee] told me something incredible. He said at the same time he could see the action in the box and my behaviour on the touchline.
“I congratulate him because it’s absolutely incredible. His peripheral vision during the game, at 100 miles an hour, he had one eye on the penalty situation and one eye on the bench and my behaviour.
“That is the explanation he gave me, that is why he is one of the best referees in the world.”
Never change Jose. The former United manager was always going to end up in the headlines after the match and he didn’t disappoint.
