United In Focus reported a week ago that one of Mourinho’s early priorities was to sign a right-back, with interest emerging in Diogo Dalot.
Mourinho signed Dalot for Manchester United in 2018 – but despite the interest from Real, Dalot is totally committed to the Red Devils.
Michael Carrick also has no desire to sell the Portugal international, who he regards as his first choice right-back.

Real want to sign Denzel Dumfries
Real Madrid are now pursuing a deal to sign Denzel Dumfries from Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The Athletic report that Real believe a deal can be done for the Netherlands defender, whose deal at Inter runs to 2028.
Dumfries has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester United over the years, although interest never materialised into anything of substance.
Now the defender could get his fresh start at the Bernabeu, after five years at Inter.
The move would put pressure on Trent Alexander-Arnold after a dismal first season in Spain after leaving Liverpool.
A deal will also guarantee Diogo Dalot’s future at United for the foreseeable future.
Dalot is under contract at United until 2028, with a further option to 2029.
There is a chance that he will be offered a new deal to extend his contract further.
