Manchester United are absolutely desperate to keep hold of JJ Gabriel beyond 2027, when he will be able to sign pre-professional contracts.
It is hardly a shock to learn that Ineos are rolling out the red carpet for JJ Gabriel, with the talented 15-year-old expected to become a world-class player.
The wonderkid has scored seven U18 goals this season in six appearances, taking the level by storm and often making it look easy.
United staff have been shocked at Gabriel’s ability and his lack of weakness, being so well-rounded already, despite his youth.
He is not a standard young prospect, with Rio Ferdinand already raving over Gabriel, expecting him to be United’s answer to Max Dowman, while there have also been comparisons with Lamine Yamal.
However, to reap the rewards of his talent, United needs to convince the player to stay.

Manchester United set to offer JJ Gabriel place at new Old Trafford
During the summer, Gabriel committed his short-term future to United, agreeing to a contract to remain at the club until he turns 16.
At this stage, likely the summer of 2027, United will hope Gabriel signs a pre-professional contract ahead of his 17th birthday, by which stage he could already be a first-team debutant if his development goes as planned.
To convince him, United have rolled out the red carpet for Gabriel, and now a new promise has been made.
According to the MEN, Gabriel has been offered a box at the new Old Trafford, which Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to open in 2030.
This offer shows Gabriel the belief United have in him, and the long-term promise they would be making to him in order to retain his services on the pitch.
This would be a sweetener, although ultimately he will base his decision on where he sees his career best suited to develop.
JJ Gabriel is once in a life-time talent for Manchester United
Gabriel’s commitment to United would be a huge deal, and everyone at the club seems determined right now to make this happen.
Even Ruben Amorim has met Gabriel and reportedly told him he will get first-team training opportunities this season, as he likely eyes a debut in 2026/27.
Amorim is showing keen interest in Gabriel, and if he is still at the club this time next year, we expect to see him integrating the teenager similar to Dowman at Arsenal right now.
Gabriel is a once-in-a-generation talent for Carrington, and it will be a massive failure if Ineos loses him before he makes his mark on the first team.
However, the current manner in which Amorim is using the academy won’t be inspiring confidence.
