JJ Gabriel has taken to social media to share a message with Manchester United fans after the FA Youth Cup final defeat on Thursday night.

After a long campaign, Manchester United’s U18s were beaten by Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup final.

It was an unfortunate off-night for United, with City’s pace and power going forward the difference ultimately.

United’s star players didn’t turn up, with JJ Gabriel having a very quiet night in comparison to his usual brilliance.

Now, in the aftermath of this defeat, Gabriel has shared a message.

JJ Gabriel sends cryptic message after FA Youth Cup final loss

Undeniably, the most impressive talent in the country right now is JJ Gabriel, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to make his mark in the cup final.

It was an uncharacteristically quiet night for Gabriel, as he wasn’t on the ball anywhere near enough for United to be successful.

Taking to his Instagram story after the game, Gabriel acknowledged the defeat.

“You win some, you lose some”, he wrote. “Best lessons are learned from losing. Didn’t come this far to only go this far.

“On a personal note, delighted to win Premier League U18 Player of the Season as U15.”

Then came Gabriel’s cryptic admission.

“One last thing to do on Sunday at Old Trafford, then can’t wait to have a break. See you next season.”

Despite this sounding like a debut was being planned, Gabriel still isn’t eligible to play senior football until next season.

The other reasons could be to receive the club’s academy player of the year award, or potentially, United will present the entire U18 side in front of a packed Old Trafford.

This, of course, is an experience robbed from them by City.

JJ Gabriel’s dad hints at ‘big announcement’

It isn’t just Gabriel who has sent cryptic messages, as his father Joe O’Cearuill, has now taken to Instagram with his own.

In the comments under Gabriel’s Instagram post on Friday, his dad hinted at something big happening on Friday.

“Big announcement today”, he wrote with a side-eye emoji and fire emojis.

This might not be United-related and could be to do with some sort of endorsement or international football, but it might be.

Perhaps this is a hint at Gabriel signing his professional contract with United, or a pre-agreement. This would be massive for United to have survived interest from the likes of Barcelona.

We will have to wait and see what this relates to, but keep your eyes peeled.
