Marcus Rashford scored his 19th goal of the season to help Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
At the time Rashford’s goal doubled United’s lead, and it appeared the Red Devils were cruising to victory.
But a red card to Casemiro and a Palace goal made it a very tense last 15 minutes plus stoppage time, and Rashford’s goal ended up being the winner.
On a day where rivals Arsenal and Liverpool lost, and Chelsea and Newcastle both drew, it was crucial for Manchester United to get all three points.

Sancho reacts to Rashford performance
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag would have hoped to introduce a few attacking substitutes late in the game. Jadon Sancho was aiming to make his Premier League return.
Sancho will have to wait a little longer. The red card saw United turn to defensive changes to close out the match with a 2-1 win.
Nonetheless, Sancho was thrilled to see pal Rashford make such a big impact, and was among those who congratulated United’s top scorer on another goal.
Lisandro Martinez also praised ‘on fire’ Rashford, and there was also a motivational message from striker coach Benn McCarthy, who urged the forward to ‘keep that fire burning’.

Rashford certainly won’t be easing up any time soon. He is just three goals away from matching his career best season tally, and will want to set new records.
Most of all, he wants to lead United to trophies and a high league placing. Right now there are plenty of reasons for Erik ten Hag’s side to be positive that this promising season can end with success.
