Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has ended the noise around his time at Napoli once and for all amid links to a sensational return to Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay is in his second season at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and the midfielder has scored 10 times and picked up four assists in 34 matches.

The 29-year-old Scottish talent has seen his influence wane in the current campaign after Napoli signed former Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne last summer.

Would you re-sign Scott McTominay for Manchester United?

Where would he fit in? How much is he worth?

McTominay has been sacrificed out to the left side of the pitch instead of playing centrally for Napoli to accommodate Kevin De Bruyne’s impactful presence.

However, the Napoli ace can still play centrally when De Bruyne is not on the pitch and remains an important part of the plans for Antonio Conte at the Serie A club.

McTominay has been widely hailed for his spell at Napoli and is continuing to evolve as a midfielder after Manchester United sold the Scotland international in 2024.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, the former United youth academy product ended speculation over a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
